MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A DAY

    Volunteer Information

We have listed below information that might answer some questions and give you additional information about our Rebuilding Day activities.

1.      Rebuilding Day will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Rain or shine! It is very important that you plan to stay a full day, or until the work on your home is completed.

2.      We do as many repairs as we can in one day to the homes of low-income families. If you cannot work on Rebuilding Day, it may be possible to do prep work (such as dry walling before painting) or follow-up work on another day.

3.      Volunteers are provided lunch and T-shirts on Rebuilding Day.

4.      Homeowners go through a selection process. All are low-income and many are elderly and/or disabled. Please understand that homeowners and their families are asked to join in the repairs. This does not always happen! Also, understand that just as you have a choice in how you spend your money, so do low-income families. We try to select homeowners who use their limited funds wisely, but we also respect their values.
